Overview
Prestwick St Cuthbert, was founded in 1899 and moved to new location in 1963 a hidden gem of a golf course. Our parkland course, located on East Road in Prestwick, was designed in 1963 by J.R. Stutt and offers a challenging layout that will test golfers of all skill levels.
Over the past decade, Prestwick St Cuthbert has become known for its excellent greens and picturesque fairways, offer golfers a great playing experience. Our club also features a modern clubhouse where you can relax and enjoy a drink or a meal after your round. We have a shop, as well as a practice range and nets and putting greens to enhance overall member and guest experience
Our club has a growing membership and a vibrant youth section, so we seek a motivated person to join the team, and help drive the club forward.
We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Club Administration Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our busy golf club. This key role combines administrative leadership, financial oversight, and member engagement to ensure the smooth running of all club activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Club AdministrationManage and co-ordinate administrative functions including correspondence, meeting minutes, and record-keeping
- Coordinate committee meetings and AGM/SGM as required
- Ensure compliance with club policies and relevant regulations in term of employment, codes of conduct, plus fire and safety policies
- Liaise closely with the Club Committee to support strategic decision-making and operational alignment
- Financial Management (working with our finance controller)Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, and cash flow management
- Maintain robust budgetary control to ensure financial sustainability and cost-effectiveness
- Liaise with the finance team and external accountants to ensure accurate and timely financial records
- Monitor membership fees, subscriptions, and operational costs
- Member, Guest and Corporate RelationsAct as a key point of contact for members and guests, liaise with corporate visiting parties and sponsors to foster a welcoming and professional environment
- Handle member queries, feedback, and concerns with discretion and diplomacy
- Support membership growth and retention initiatives, through marketing and social media engagement.
- Operational OversightSupervise staff and contractors to maintain high standards across all club services
- Coordinate events, competitions, and social functions with our catering partner
- Ensure facilities are well-maintained and health & safety standards are upheld
Key Skills & Attributes
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong financial acumen and experience in budgeting, reporting, and budgetary control
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities efficiently
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and club management software ( training available)
- Discreet, professional, and trustworthy with confidential information
Qualifications & Experience
- Background in finance, business administration, or hospitality management preferred
- A working knowledge of Xero accounting package would be advantageous
- Knowledge of golf operations is desirable but not essential
