The Deputy Course Manager position is an integral part of the club’s management structure and forms a strong link between senior management and the greenkeeping team. The successful candidate should have a flexible approach, be self-motivated, a natural leader of people, able to teach, train, and guide members of the team with empathy, humility, and patience.
Candidates must have good greenkeeping skills, agronomic knowledge, and a reasonable understanding of Health & Safety, COSHH, and other legislative matters.
For candidates to be considered, they must meet the following criteria:
✓ Educated to a minimum NVQ level 3 or equivalent
✓ At least 8 years of greenkeeping experience
✓ PA1, 2 & 6a Spraying certificates
✓ Experience with irrigation maintenance, repair, and use
✓ Knowledge of machinery maintenance
✓ Chainsaw certificate
✓ Excellent communication skills and IT literacy
✓ A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a senior/first assistant or deputy
✓ Ability to lead and motivate staff, along with and in the absence of the Course Manager
Salary: £30,000 per annum
