The Royal Zoute Golf Club, established in 1899, is one of Belgium’s most prestigious golf clubs. Located along the scenic North Sea coast in Knokke-Heist, the club boasts two beautiful 18-hole courses: the Championship Course and the Executive Course. Known for its challenging design, coastal winds, and natural beauty, the Royal Zoute Golf Club attracts both local and international golfers. It has a rich history, hosting prestigious tournaments, including the Belgian Open, and enjoys a royal charter that elevates its status within Belgian golf.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director (General Manager) to lead the club’s operations. The Director will oversee all aspects of the club’s operations, including membership services, golf course maintenance, and managing the third-party operations of the hotel and food & beverage outlets.

Key Responsibilities:
✔ Oversee all club operations, ensuring excellence in membership services, course maintenance, and hospitality
✔ Manage the financial and operational aspects of the golf courses, restaurant, and hotel
✔ Raise operational standards to meet international benchmarks and grow revenue through memberships and elite events
✔ Develop and implement marketing and event strategies to position the club as an international destination for luxury golf
✔ Lead a high-performance team, cultivating a culture of excellence across all areas of the club
✔ Negotiate and build strategic partnerships to enhance the club's reputation and offerings
✔ Ensure exceptional member experiences, with a personalized service approach for high-net-worth individuals
✔ Manage large budgets and drive profitability, ensuring sustainable growth

Education & Experience:
✔ Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Sports Management, or a related field
✔ Master’s degree is a plus
✔ 10+ years of senior leadership experience in premium golf clubs, luxury resorts, or private clubs
✔ Proven track record in managing golf operations, including course maintenance, member services, and hospitality
✔ Expertise in financial management and operational leadership in golf course and hotel settings

Skills & Attributes:
✔ Exceptional leadership, with the ability to foster high-performance cultures
✔ Advanced knowledge of international golf standards, trends, and best practices in club management
✔ Strong financial acumen and experience managing large budgets
✔ Excellent marketing, event planning, and strategic partnership-building skills
✔ Fluency in English and proficiency in Dutch or French is essential
✔ Passion for golf and a deep understanding of golf operations
✔ Cultural sensitivity and the ability to cater to international members and guests
✔ Visionary leadership, with innovative thinking to differentiate the club from competitors
