Dunstable Downs Golf Club are seeking an ambitious individual with previous management experience, and first-class customer service skills to join one of Bedfordshire’s leading golf clubs. You can find out more about the role below…

The Club:
Dunstable Downs Golf Club sits in the Chiltern Hills and is located right at the top of the picturesque Downs, which is labelled an ‘area of outstanding natural beauty’. The James Braid downland course has 18 holes with two practice facilities, one long game, and the other short game. The club are currently looking at exciting plans to redevelop both areas which will be a large, exciting project to get stuck into.

The club boasts a large two storey Clubhouse with changing rooms, professional shop, and offices on the ground floor, and members bar and function room on the first floor. A big drive has been made to encourage more off course utilisation of the Clubhouse, with increased private hire and business meetings.

The club currently has 500 active playing members, with a further 150 social members.

The Role:
- The Club has a streamlined management structure, with the successful candidate reporting directly to the Chairman and Management Committee only.
- As the General Manager, you will be expected to aid the Management Committee & Captain’s Committee with their strategic plans which are in place to continue the upward trajectory of the club over the next 5 years and beyond.
- The General Manager is wholly accountable for the marketing, sales, operation and financial performance of the golf club.
- The General Manager is expected to be seen by members as an approachable communication bridge between the members and committees.

Remuneration
We offer a competitive and negotiable salary based on the knowledge and experience of the applicant. This will be subject to review after a 6-month probationary period.
