Bridge of Allan Golf Club are looking for a passionate driven Greenkeeper to join our staff.
 
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to show their skill set on a 9 hole course that is famed for its stunning views and friendly atmosphere.
 
This job is perfect for a turf professional looking to make a step up to managing a course on their own. You should be able to work under your own initiative and respond proactively to the varied requirements of a busy golf club.
 
The successful candidate will need to show pride in their work, have an excellent work ethic, have a deep knowledge of course management in all weathers and have the ability to lead and train staff/volunteers when or if needed.
 
We have a great deal of equipment and machinery available to allow the right candidate to maintain our course in the beautiful condition that our members and visitors expect.

Salary Range: £26k - £32k per annum dependant upon experience

Preferred skills/qualifications required:

- SVQ/NVQ 2 in Sports Turf Maintenance or equivalent
- PA1, PA2, PA6 Spraying Certificates
- Knowledge of modern machinery and hands on experience in its maintenance
- Chainsaw maintenance and crosscutting (preferred)
- Must have a good knowledge of modern irrigation systems

Duties include:

- Cutting all playing surfaces, changing holes, moving markers, raking bunkers, and spraying for weeds to ensure that the course is at all times presented in the best possible condition
- Construction, aeration, and turfing work/duties
- Irrigation system maintenance
- To operate powered equipment safely and effectively, to care and maintain said machinery and to report loss or damage to a line manager according to Club policy and procedure
- Undertake ad-hoc projects and assignments as required
- To work within the Health & Safety, COSHH, Risk Assessment and HAVS Assessment guidelines at all times
- Ensure the efficient and effective operation and safe handling of all chemicals
- Other duties delegated by the Committee in accordance with the needs of the organisation
- Manage budgets and resources and complying with procurement policies
