Dates confirmed for 2027 Ryder Cup at Adare Manor
May 28, 2025
This announcement follows the conclusion of the 2025 Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black in New York, after which Adare Manor will formally become the next host venue for golf’s biggest team competition.
It will mark only the second time the Ryder Cup has been held in Ireland, following the memorable 2006 event at The K Club, where Europe secured a resounding victory under the captaincy of Ian Woosnam. The 2027 contest promises to be a special occasion as the Ryder Cup celebrates 100 years since its inception in 1927.
Guy Kinnings, Chief Executive of the European Tour Group, welcomed the announcement, describing it as a “significant milestone” for both the venue and the country. He said:
"Rory McIlroy’s Masters victory and the anticipation of The Open Championship have already heightened excitement for golf across Ireland. This announcement will add to that buzz as Ireland prepares to host golf’s greatest team competition for a second time."
Kinnings also thanked the Government of Ireland, JP McManus and his team at Adare Manor, and Limerick City and County Council for their support in the lead-up to the event.
Ireland’s Minister for Arts, Media, Communications, Culture and Sport, Patrick O’Donovan, emphasised the Government’s commitment to ensuring a successful tournament. He said:
"We have adopted a whole-of-government approach to hosting this prestigious event, ensuring Ireland’s status as a world-class golf and tourism destination. I am confident the local community and the people of Limerick and Ireland will make this event a resounding success."
Charlie McConalogue, Minister of State for Sport and Postal Policy, highlighted the broader impact of hosting the Ryder Cup, noting that major sporting events like this contribute to community engagement, tourism, and economic growth. He added:
"This will be a superb opportunity for players to showcase their talent in front of a global audience, while also promoting the many world-class golf courses Ireland has to offer."
JP McManus, owner of Adare Manor, expressed his excitement at the official confirmation of the dates, stating:
"Now the dates have been announced, anticipation for the 2027 Ryder Cup will continue to grow. We are honoured to be hosting one of the biggest events in global sport, and we look forward to welcoming thousands of visitors to Ireland, Limerick, and Adare."
Adare Manor, set on the banks of the River Maigue, is no stranger to high-profile golf events. The course, redesigned by Tom Fazio and extensively renovated in 2017, has hosted the Irish Open in 2007 and 2008, as well as the JP McManus Pro-Am in 2005, 2010, and 2022. The venue’s blend of world-class facilities and stunning surroundings makes it a fitting stage for the Ryder Cup’s centenary.
Details about ticket applications for the 2027 Ryder Cup will be released in 2026, with selected premium experiences available later this year. Fans are encouraged to register their interest for both ticketing and premium packages via the official Ryder Cup website. Volunteer opportunities to be part of the event will also be announced towards the end of this year.
With the dates now set, the countdown to a landmark event in the heart of Ireland has well and truly begun.
