DP World Tour unveils 2026 global schedule
September 10, 2025
Highlights:
- Minimum of 42 tournaments in 25 countries
- Estrella Damm Catalunya Championship added to the schedule
- Amgen Irish Open confirmed for Doonbeg in September
- Season to follow three phases: Global Swings, the Back 9, and the DP World Tour Play-Offs
- Record $157.5m prize fund (excluding Majors)
- The season will once again run in three phases: five opening Global Swings, followed by the Back 9, before concluding with the DP World Tour Play-Offs in November.
The Estrella Damm Catalunya Championship will open the European Swing from 7–10 May at Real Club de Golf El Prat, Barcelona, marking the venue’s first DP World Tour event since 2015. The tournament was added after Spain was confirmed as host of the 2031 Ryder Cup at Camiral, making it the first continental European nation to stage the biennial contest twice.
Other notable dates include the ISCO Championship (9–12 July), the Corales Puntacana Championship (16–19 July) — appearing in the Race to Dubai for the first time — and the Genesis Scottish Open (9–12 July), co-sanctioned with the PGA TOUR.
There will be five Rolex Series events:
- Hero Dubai Desert Classic (22–25 January)
- Genesis Scottish Open (9–12 July)
- BMW PGA Championship (17–20 September)
- Abu Dhabi Championship (5–8 November)
- DP World Tour Championship (12–15 November), where the 2026 Race to Dubai Champion will be crowned.
- Dubai will host three tournaments in total, with the Dubai Invitational (15–18 January) returning after alternating with the Team Cup in 2025.
The Amgen Irish Open moves to Trump Doonbeg from 10–13 September, following Rory McIlroy’s spectacular win in 2025.
Guy Kinnings, the DP World Tour’s Chief Executive, said:
“Our 2026 schedule once again showcases our global talent in global destinations as we celebrate the diversity of the courses and cultures we visit.
The five Global Swings, the Back 9 and the DP World Tour Play-Offs provide a compelling season-long narrative on the Race to Dubai, comprising many historic national Opens and international events that have an enduring appeal to our members and our fans.
Our thanks go to our partners, broadcasters, promoters, federations and partner Tours for their support and commitment to the DP World Tour and we look forward to once again spotlighting the considerable depth of international talent we have on Golf’s Global Tour.”
Membership structure changes from 2026
The Tour has also confirmed updates to its membership categories to create greater balance and clarity:
