PGA TOUR to Introduce New International TV Feed for 2025 Season
August 27, 2024
The World Feed will debut at The Players Championship next year and will be produced from the new PGA TOUR Studios, which is set to open in January 2025. “We are excited to officially announce the upcoming launch of our PGA TOUR World Feed and what it will represent for golf fans around the world,” said Rick Anderson, PGA TOUR Chief Commercial Officer. “This is an important step as PGA TOUR Studios comes online, allowing us to showcase our world-class athletes and championships to an ever-growing audience.”
As the 2025 FedExCup Season kicks off, the World Feed will be exclusively curated for international viewers and media partners, featuring a unique graphics package and cameras dedicated to following international players. The live broadcasts will include weekly on-site reporters and up to six dedicated cameras at select FedExCup events, providing more extensive coverage of international golfers. Following its debut at The Players Championship, the World Feed will be available for all remaining events in the 2025 season.
Previously, the TOUR's Enhanced International Feed supplemented the U.S. feed with additional content. However, the new World Feed will be a completely separate production tailored to deliver locally relevant content to international viewers, while also covering the overall competition and leaders.
This initiative is the first step towards creating localized live feeds for specific countries, complete with native language announcers and country-specific graphics, enhancing the fan experience globally. It also allows the TOUR to distribute more focused content on its social and digital platforms, highlighting international players.
“The PGA TOUR is proud to provide international golf fans with what they want—more coverage of their country’s favorite players each week,” said Luis Goicouria, PGA TOUR Senior Vice President, Media. “The opening of PGA TOUR Studios in 2025 enables the creation of new programming, including the World Feed, so we can bring international viewers closer to the action than ever before.”
