DP World Tour announces multi-event partnership with Husqvarna through 2027
May 12, 2025
As part of the deal, Husqvarna will serve as an official partner for two key tournaments – the Amgen Irish Open and the Betfred British Masters – both forming part of the Back 9 swing on the DP World Tour calendar. In addition, the company will act as a corporate partner of the BMW International Open, which features during the European Swing.
The sponsorship provides Husqvarna with branding opportunities across both the course and digital platforms, product displays within the tournament villages, and access to hospitality experiences at all three events. The partnership also aims to raise Husqvarna’s profile across some of the Tour’s key European markets.
The 2025 BMW International Open is scheduled for 3–6 July, followed by the British Masters from 21–24 August. The Irish Open, one of the DP World Tour’s most popular events, will take place from 4–7 September.
Husqvarna’s equipment, including its well-regarded mower range, is already in use at several leading European golf courses, and this deal marks a strategic move to strengthen its presence within the golfing sector.
The announcement follows a busy period of commercial activity for the DP World Tour. In April, Abu Dhabi-based property firm Aldar extended its relationship with the Tour in a wide-ranging deal that also runs through to 2027. That agreement includes sponsorship of three major events – the Porsche Singapore Classic, the Volvo China Open, and the BMW PGA Championship – alongside wider marketing and real estate branding rights.
Husqvarna has also expanded its footprint in sport more broadly. The company recently signed a sponsorship agreement with Premier League champions Liverpool FC, beginning with the 2024/25 season. That deal, valued at approximately $1.5 million per year, reflects Husqvarna’s ambition to reach new audiences through high-profile partnerships.
Meanwhile, the DP World Tour has confirmed the addition of a brand-new tournament in India, due to take place in Delhi this October. With a prize fund of $4 million, it represents a significant step forward in the Tour’s continued global expansion.
