Golfmanager Expands with 3 New Clubs in Italy & 1 in Portugal
February 19, 2025
The latest to adopt Golfmanager’s innovative technology are the Italian clubs Golf del Ducato, Golf Salsomaggiore Terme, Golf Terre di Canossa, and Vidago Palace Golfe in Portugal. Each venue has chosen Golfmanager to streamline and enhance daily operations using a 100% cloud-based, multi-device platform.
Expansion continues in Italy
Italy remains a key market for Golfmanager, and the company is steadily expanding its presence across the country. The software is now used by more than a dozen prestigious clubs, including Verdura Resort (ranked second-best Golf Resort in Continental Europe 2024), Marco Simone Golf & Country Club (the Official Venue of the 2023 Ryder Cup), Chervò Golf San Vigilio, and Circolo Golf Venezia. The addition of these three new clubs further consolidates Golfmanager’s growing presence in Emilia-Romagna.
Golf del Ducato, located in Sala Baganza, Parma, is in the heart of Italy’s renowned Food Valley, where golf and gastronomy blend into a unique experience. Founded in 1985, this 18-hole, par-72 course stretches 6,103 metres and offers a challenging yet enjoyable layout for golfers of all skill levels.
Golf Salsomaggiore Terme is a true hidden gem set within 70 hectares of pristine natural landscape, providing players with a tranquil and scenic escape. Designed by Carlo Quintelli and inaugurated in 1992, the 18-hole course features undulating fairways that present an engaging challenge to golfers.
Golf Terre di Canosa boasts a gently rolling layout on the outskirts of Emilia-Romagna, where golfers can enjoy an impeccably maintained course surrounded by a perfect blend of nature and historical heritage.
Strengthening leadership in Portugal with Vidago Palace Golfe
Golfmanager continues to consolidate its dominant position in Portugal, which is now the leading club management software, used by over 80% of golf courses in the country.
Among the many prestigious names that rely on Golfmanager are Vilamoura Golf (five courses), Vale do Lobo, Amendoeira Resort, Praia D’El Rey, and Palmares Ocean Living & Golf Resort. Now, another renowned venue joins the list: Vidago Palace Golfe.
Vidago Palace Golfe is a historic 18-hole, par-72 course located in Vidago, Portugal. Originally designed in 1936 by Mackenzie Ross, it was later redesigned by Cameron & Powell to meet USGA standards, preserving its classic design while enhancing its natural beauty.
The course is distinguished by its contrasting landscapes and deep respect for its natural surroundings. The first four holes wind through a centuries-old park, followed by eleven holes in the Oura Valley, while the final three holes offer spectacular elevated views from the park’s highest point. Notable features include elevated tees framed by traditional stone walls and the careful preservation of ancient trees.
For Daniel Sillari, Co-Founder & Co-CEO of Golfmanager: “The company’s expansion in Italy and Portugal is a testament to the growing demand for digital transformation and innovative management solutions in these key golf markets, as well as Golfmanager’s commitment to the Southern European countries.”
“The addition of these four clubs reinforces our presence in the European market and confirms that our technology is the best solution for golf clubs looking to optimise their operations and enhance their customer experience.”
