Description:
Ladybank Golf Club based in Fife; Scotland are looking for an Assistant Greenkeeper. Founded in 1879 and designed by Tom Morris, the course has held Open Championship final qualifying on 7 occasions between 1978 and 2010 and Senior Open final qualifying in 2018 and 2022. It is widely regarded as one of the finest heathland golf courses in Scotland.
The Club have made considerable investments in recent years including a full bunker renovation, commitment to a rolling machinery replacement programme and a new irrigation system which was installed this year.
The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, professional and work as part of our fantastic greenkeeping team, to ensure the golf course is maintained and presented to a high standard.
The ideal candidate will preferably have:
- Minimum 2 years green-keeping experience.
- NVQ level 2 sports turf management
- Spraying and chainsaw certificates desirable but not essential
- Passion to learn and exceed member’s expectations with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Knowledge of the game of golf.
- Valid driving licence required.
Duties will include:
- Assisting with daily course preparation, including mowing, bunker maintenance, and general upkeep.
- Operating and maintaining a range of golf course machinery.
- Assisting with renovation and improvement projects.
- Contributing to the overall health and presentation of the golf course.
- Ensuring all tasks are completed to a high standard and in line with health and safety guidelines.
- Performing tasks with minimum of supervision
- Carry our turf maintenance by following established schedules and maintenance programmes.

The position is 37.5 hours per week with weekend work required on a rota basis.
