An exceptional career opportunity has arisen at Pannal Golf Club, an 18-hole Championship parkland golf course near Harrogate, North Yorkshire. Pannal is one of the leading golf clubs in the region and recognised by the R&A as a previous Open qualifier venue. Most recently the Club hosted the England Golf Championship Senior Men’s Open Stroke Play Championship and the North of England U16s Championship.

The golf course remains at the centre of Pannal’s development plans and this is the opportunity for you to play a key role in the club’s continued success.

Salary: Circa £28000 -30000

The candidate will be required to:

- Display a high standard of greenkeeping skills
- Have a varied and extensive knowledge in all aspects of course maintenance
- Have an ability to work unsupervised and within a team environment
- Be self-motivated and enthusiastic
- Show a strong work ethic, and desire to develop their knowledge and skills
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, members, guests and visitors
- Have knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety theory and compliance
- Be punctual and have a flexible approach to working hours including bank holidays and weekends on a rota basis

Ideal candidate will possess:

- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
- 3 years greenkeeping experience
- Ideally PA1,2,6 spraying certificates
- An eye for detail in all aspects of work
- Ideally knowledge of irrigation systems
- Basic understanding of the game of golf
- A flexible, well-motivated team player

Would be an advantage, but not essential:

- NVQ Level 3 Greenkeeping
- Chainsaw certificates
- Mechanical skills / knowledge of machinery repairs
